Our Machinery

Rod Breakdown Machine (RBM)

At Rana Afghan, the Rod Breakdown Machine is the first and most critical stage of cable manufacturing. It is used to convert aluminum or copper rods into precise wire diameters, forming the base material for stranded conductors used in power cables.

Main Features:

Converts aluminum or copper rods into precise wire diameters
Supports production of conductors for ACSR, AAC, and AAAC cables
Ensures uniform wire thickness and surface quality
High-output capability suitable for continuous industrial operation

Tobler Stranding Machine (1+6 Configuration)

At Rana Afghan, the Tobler stranding machine is used for high-precision conductor manufacturing. It twists one central core wire with six surrounding wires in a single operation, ensuring uniform geometry and mechanical strength.

Main Features:

1+6 stranding configuration for compact conductors
High precision in lay length and wire alignment
Suitable for ACSR, AAC, and similar conductors
Continuous and stable production process

Cooling & Curing System (Integrated Line)

Integrated within Rana Afghan’s insulation lines, the cooling and curing system solidifies the cable insulation after extrusion, ensuring durability and stable electrical performance.

Main Features:

Water or air cooling for insulation stabilization
Maintains insulation shape and thickness
Supports continuous production flow
Enhances long-term cable performance

Lay-Up Machine (1250 Model)

The Lay-Up Machine at Rana Afghan assembles multiple insulated conductors into a single multi-core cable structure, used for power, control, and instrumentation cables.

Main Features:

Aligns and twists multiple insulated cores
Adjustable lay length for different cable designs
Supports large-diameter and multi-core cables
Ensures mechanical stability and uniformity

Stranding Machine

Rana Afghan uses advanced stranding machines to twist multiple drawn wires into flexible and durable stranded conductors. This process is essential for producing power cables that require mechanical strength and electrical reliability.

Main Features:

Twists multiple wires into a single stranded conductor
Controlled lay length and tension for stability
Supports aluminum and copper conductors
Used in overhead and distribution cable production

XLPE / PVC Coating Machine (120mm)

Rana Afghan operates XLPE and PVC coating machines to apply insulation and protective layers to power cables. This machine ensures electrical safety, thermal resistance, and environmental protection for various voltage applications.

Main Features:

Applies XLPE or PVC insulation uniformly
Supports conductor diameters up to 120mm
Ensures consistent insulation thickness
Used for LV, MV, and HV power cables

Diameter Control & Monitoring System

Rana Afghan uses inline diameter control systems during insulation and coating to monitor cable dimensions in real time, ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards.

Main Features:

Laser or ultrasonic measurement technology
Real-time diameter monitoring
Reduces defects and material waste
Supports consistent product quality
